Westsound int.  proposes courses to musicians and recordists  wanting to learn the process of recording and mixing audio onto digital workstations. We offer you practical time in small groups (maximum 3 students to a group) on latest equipment Pro Tools HD and LE. You will be using a separate workstation and a pair of speakers per student.

Our teacher is an experienced sound engineer  who graduated from SAE London in 1992 and has been teaching sound techniques for the last twelve years. He speaks English fluently.
There is nothing like working on your own music project and being taught by a professional sound man at the same time.

Following our courses will allow you to gain time, improve your sound quality and obtain a greater level of knowledge as a professional sound recordist.

Course: Recording Coaching
You will be allowed to bring your own recording project. We will listen to it together and then discuss how you can improve your skills to get better results. Understanding the concept of recording and mixing within an Audio Workstation.
Course: Recording and Mixing with Pro Tools 8
This course will start with a theoretical part to make sure you understand sound diffusion, miking techniques and the tools available for audio and Midi. Then you will make your own recordings with real and virtual instruments. You will be taught how to create a good balance for your mixes and how to optimise your final Master.
Location: These courses will take place in our home studio facility near Rennes, Brittany and also in Toulouse, South West France and on Corfu, Greece.
